formula (3.5*away wins+2.5*home wins+2*away draws+1*home draws+.5*away losses+ -.5*home losses)/games played=team average
2*team average+average opponent team average+ average opponent's opponent team average= MLS RPI

1 Crew 6.93 … 1
2 Chi 6.66 … 2
3 LA 6.62 … 3
4 Hou 6.58 … 4
5 CV 6.48 … 6
6 NE 6.36 … 9
7 DC 6.25 … 5
8 Sea 6.2 … 8
9 Co 6.15 … 7
10 Tor 5.94 … 11

12 Dal 5.56 … 13
13 KC 5.46 … 12
14 SJ 4.99 … 14
15 NY 4.44 … 15

Chivas USA has put together 2 wins in a row and appears to be back in the race with several games in hand. New England also put together 2 big wins in a row and all of the sudden is holding the 7-8 seed in the playoffs. DC has been falling out of form lately and only has 1 win in their last 8 games, going 1-3-4 in that stretch.

Galaxy's on the rise, no doubt. My money's on them to take it all. And it's all about Ricketts (and the rookies Omar Gonzalez and A.J. DeLaGarza).

As for Chivas, it depends on how their acquisitions - Santos and Padilla - do. They could be awesome. They could be terrible.

PS - Why is Chivas 'CV' and Chicago Fire 'Chi'?

Why not have Chivas 'Chiv' and Chicago 'CF'?

Chivas has gotten their **** together now and they are hungry for wins again, except this saturday when they play LA... it would be so cool if they both make it to the playoff, which actually looks like a big possibility....

LA GALAXY!!!
