Just to correct spactacus The British got the idea of Football from the ancient Chinese, although yes, the British did 'codify' the rules/regulations of association football (soccer) sometime in the mid 1800's

I think it originated from italy. You can learn to maneuver your body around quickly. You use kleats on your shoes to help stop in the grass. You use knee pads to be able to knee balls better (not the other kind)
